Website Homepage Checklist

Website homepage Checklist
Statistics show you have 15 seconds to catch someone’s attention on your website homepage(or any page) before they leave. That means your site needs to be set up to catch a visitor’s attention as soon as they find it. And it needs to keep them there, so you can convince that person you’re the one to hire.

How do you catch attention on a website?

A website homepage will typically be the first page visited on your site. It needs to have a few things to instantly grab the attention of your potential client.
  • Your very best attention grabbing photo that resonates with your ideal client.
  • Copy to spark interest and gain trust.
  • Set up for their eye to flow QUICKLY through out the page.
  • Easy to navigate, so they can find the information they need to make a decision.

So what should you include on your website homepage?

Building your website homepage strategically is not easy, but you can do it! Here are a few things you HAVE to include.  This will help build trust in your ideal client quickly.
  1. You’ll want your most attention grabbing landscape orientation photo paired with copy that states the outcome they can expect working with you. What can your client expect from the experience?
  2. A little about you with a photo, so that your potential client can get to know you quickly.
  3. You need to let the visitor know who you serve so they know immediately if you’re a good fit.
  4. Briefly describe what the experience is like.
  5. Include a few of your best images throughout the homepage to keep the interest of your potential client.
  6. Reviews and testimonials are powerful! Show your ideal client you’re legit with some applicable testimonials.
  7. Place an opt-in form in several places on your website, but especially on your homepage.  Email lists are one of the easiest way to build trust with potential clients and book them!

The homepage is the first page potential clients will see.

Make sure it’s strategically designed, built to gain trust quickly, and set up for the eye to flow easily. The entire site needs to be super easy to navigate so visitors don’t lose interest.
